Ceará vs Corinthians Match Report

Peruvian striker Luis Ramirez scored ten minutes from full-time to give Corinthians a crucial 1-0 victory over Ceara that extends their lead at the top of the Brasileiro to two points ahead of closest-rivals Vasco da Gama with only three rounds left to play.

Corinthians dominated their opponents throughout the game, but couldn't find a goal no matter how hard they tried. When it seemed that the game would end in a goalless draw, substitute Ramirez netted the winner for Corinthians. Prior to the game the Peruvian had only made five appearances for Corinthians this season, scoring no goals.

With a win over Atletico-MG at the Pacaembu stadium on Sunday, Corinthians will edge even closer to the title.
