Portland Timbers vs New England Revolution Match Preview
The Portland Timbers will be looking to move into the playoff spots when they play host to the New England Revolution on Friday night.
The Timbers are currently one point behind the playoff spots, while the Revolution are six points further back.
The game will be nationally televised on Fox Soccer Channel at 11pm Eastern Time.
Portland will be without injured trio Adin Brown, Kevin Goldthwaite and David Horst, while Eddie Johnson and Spencer Thompson are also ruled out. Mamadou Danso and Troy Perkins are listed as probable, goalkeeper Perkins is one clean sheet away from matching his MLS career high.
Stephen McCarthy and Sainey Nyassi are sidelined with injury for New England, while Pat Phelan is questionable with concussion symptoms.
Leading goal scorer Shalrie Joseph will be a key figure in the Revolution midfield, while striker Rajko Lekic will be looking to score in his third straight game.
