San Jose Earthquakes vs Chicago Fire Match Preview
The San Jose Earthquakes and Chicago Fire will face off in California with both teams needing a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The Fire currently sit five points behind the wildcard playoff berths, while the Earthquakes are only one point further back.
San Jose will be looking for striker Chris Wondolowski to return to form as they look to break a club record 13 game winless streak. Wondolowski broke his long scoring drought in the 1-1 draw against Toronto FC last time out.
Andre Luiz and Ike Opara are sidelined with injury for San Jose, while Alan Gordon and Steven Lenhart are also ruled out. Veteran winger Bobby Convey is suspended for the Quakes.
The Fire will be looking for their third straight win, and will be looking for Dominic Oduro to continue his hot streak. Striker Oduro has netted five goals in his last six games in all competitions.
Pavel Pardo will play for the Fire despite limping out of their win over Colorado last time out. Gabriel Ferrari, Steven Kinney and Marko Maric are all sidelined with injury for the Fire, while Gonzalo Segares is suspended.
