New York Red Bulls vs DC United Match Preview
The Eastern Conference leading New York Red Bulls will play host to D.C. United in the season’s second installment of the Atlantic Cup.
The Red Bulls beat United 4-0 the first time the teams met this season, and also are coming off a 5-0 midweek win over Toronto FC. United will be travelling to Red Bull Arena looking to snap a five game winless streak.
United midfielder Dwayne De Rosario and Red Bull player Dax McCarty will be facing their old teammates after the pair switched teams in a headline grabbing trade last month.
Mexican star Rafael Marquez and Carl Robinson are out injured for New York, while Jan Gunnar Solli is questionable with a hamstring problem.
Branko Boskovic and Devon McTavish are out injured for United, while Santino Quaranta and Jed Zayner are also sidelined. Dejan Jakivic is doubtful, while Marc Burch should recover from a hamstring injury in time to play.
