Now, relegation is still a possibility, however Panionios are favorites to avoid the drop after two months of superb performances and positive results. Last weekend’s 3-3 draw against Larisa left a bitter taste in the mouth, if only because Panionios at 3-1 up had a real chance to kill off the match and just about ensure their top-flight status.This weekend Panionios are away to an Iraklis side who will more than likely finish midtable. That would actually be a fantastic achievement for a side that nearly didn’t feature in this season’s league after financial issues almost forced them down to the fourth division.
