Everton vs Chelsea Match Preview
Everton will host Chelsea in an all-Premier League clash for a spot in the FA Cup last 16. Both teams will enter this clash in good form. Everton are unbeaten in four games, while Chelsea have won their last three games by a combined score of 13-0.
Chelsea are also the defending Champions having won this competition the previous two seasons, a win here will keep them on track to become the first club to win three consecutive FA Cup’s since Blackburn Rovers achieved the feat between 1884 and 1886. The Blues will be looking to make this their 14th consecutive win in FA Cup play.
Everton defender Phil Jagielka looks likely to return from a groin strain, while Victor Anichebe is doubtful with a similar injury.
Chelsea will be without Alex, Yuri Zhirkov and Yossi Benayoun who are all sidelined with injury. Midfield star Frank Lampard has a calf problem and will be assessed ahead of kickoff.
Gael Kakuta and Patrick van Aanholt will not feature after leaving the club this week on loan to Fulham and Leicester City respectively.
