Panserraikos vs AEK Athens Match Preview
The midweek home draw (0-0) against Kerkyra showed that AEK have still not been able to put together a good run and that inconsistency stills dogs this side. A title challenge is not even on the cards anymore it appears as Manolo Jimenez’s team now find themselves 15 points behind Olympiakos. The club’s away form has been disastrous as AEK have only managed one win in eight attempts in their travels making this weekend’s trip to Panserraikos even more daunting.
Panserraikos’ leaky defense has ensured the club remain in the relegation zone, but against AEK they will have every expectation of claiming at least a point. The Serres club achieved that feat in their midweek match against PAOK by earning a 1-1 draw and their good home form coupled with AEK’s poor away record should give the club confidence of getting another result in their bid to avoid the drop.
