AO Kavala vs AE Larissa Match Preview
It could be the last chance saloon this weekend for Larisa boss Jorn Andersen. The Norwegian manager has had a difficult spell with his new club already and failure to grab at least a point against Kavala on Saturday could mean the end for the former Mainz boss. Larisa are under great pressure for points as the 3-0 defeat to Atromitos this week means they are in dead last, five points adrift of their nearest rival. Supporters have been fuming with the team’s disastrous season and even attacked the team’s bus this week.
Kavala meanwhile tasted defeat to Aris this week going down narrowly 1-0. This is a club who have their sights set on qualifying for Europe and that does appear to be an attainable goal at this stage of the season. The club are tied for the 6th place, which represents the last playoff spot and against Larisa will be seeing nothing but a victory and the three points.
