Osasuna vs Deportivo La Coruña Match Preview
It's been a rough beginning for both Osasuna and Deportivo. The visitors are stuck at the basement of La Liga's fight with only four points while Osasuna is not doing much better, placed 12th but only two points above the risk zone.
Osasuna's coach Jose Antonio Camacho will have to do without Walter Pandiani, Javier Camuñas and most likely Sergio Fernández, all of them struggling with injuries. It's clear Osasuna's main objective is the relegation fight and the Rojillos should not fall into temptation so soon or they might be once again drifted into the risk zone.
Miguel Angel Lotina has been living a nightmare since La Liga kicked off. On the weekend Deportivo will be receiving Espanyol at the Riazor and team's followers might not tolerate another defeat. Alberto Lopo is ready to return to the starting squad and Deportivo's coach might opt for a five-men back line to visit Navarra.
Ze Castro and Yves Desmarets, on the other hand, might not be fully fit to perform. Lotina will have to come up with the perfect partner for Rubén Pérez and Juan Valeron, as they might not be able to deal with Osasuna's defense on their own.
Worried for the spirit of his players, Lotina organized a collective psychology session with his squad. "We talked about the team being in a difficult situation...These things give you strength and help you not to give up hope." said Manuel Pablo.
Will this be of any help to raise Deportivo's self confidence? will they stop Osasuna from claiming half a ticket for the next stage?
