Olympiakos were left sweating, but in the end picked up a 2-1 home win against Atromitos that put them two points clear at the top of the Greek Super League. A commanding first-half display by Ernesto Valverde’s team saw Olympiakos take a 2-0 advantage as a David Fuster penalty in the 33rd minute was followed by a Kevin Mirallas strike three minutes later. It was all Olympiakos at that point and Mirallas crashed against the post in the second half nearly adding a third goal.Dudu’s red card with 20 minutes left however changed matters and Atromitos slowly began working their way into the match. Giorgos Donis’ team finally found a goal thanks to Lucas Favalli’s finish from close range, but it was too little too late as that strike came deep into the three minutes of injury time.
