France vs Bosnia-Herzegovina Match Preview
Romania and Albania will have absolutely nothing to play for but pride in the UEFA Euro 2012 qualifiers come Tuesday night. All the focus in Group D will go to the France vs Bosnia and Herzegovina match.
France are poised to reward their fans with a victory over the Bosnians tonight.
One more thing which differentiates the French from the Bosnians is each team’s away record. Thanks to an unbeaten run away from home, Les Bleus have a 1-point lead over their upcoming counterparts.
France looked pretty well prepared for Tuesday’s battle in their penultimate game. Likewise, Bosnia and Herzegovina took a handful of their chances against minnows Luxembourg. Their 5-0 triumph last Friday currently stands as the biggest win in Group D.
Still, despite the Bosnians’ impressive form in the UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying campaign, France lead the way. It would be extremely disappointing for the 2010 FIFA World Cup flops to lose the race in the very final stages.
A draw will be good enough for France to maintain their status as Group D’s leaders. This will eventually offer Les Bleus an automatic berth whereas Bosnia and Herzegovina would have to decide their fate through the playoffs.
Taking over from the hated Raymond Domenech hasn’t been an easy task for France coach Laurent Blanc. But today, the former Bordeaux manager is on the verge of closing Les Bleus’ Euro 2012 qualifying campaign on a high.
21 or 23 points from a possible 30 is all that French supporters are hoping for ahead of Tuesday night’s crunch encounter against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
