Almería vs Getafe Match Preview
Michel's Getafe wants to celebrate another victory to overcome Europa League's elimination earlier this week. Almeria can open a three-point gap from the bottom fight upon a victory, but Getafe will be a tough nut to crack of Jose Luis Oltra's boys.
Adrian Colunga, Cata Diaz and Borja Fernandez and Mario Alvarez are all ruled out with injuries. Uruguayan striker Juan Angel Albin won't be able to perform, having received his fifth yellow card last week. So many absentees pose a threat to the identity Getafe has been showing during the last match days, but it seems Michel has more than one ace up his sleeve for this clash.
Last week's sound victory 3-1 against Sevilla in Andalosia boosted the morale of Almeria to the sky. Pablo Daniel Piatti is the main referent in the team, leading the advance and making meaningful contributions to the attack with mid distance shots. Almeria might recover Marcelo Silva for this game but miss Juanma Ortiz in the back line. Hernan Bernardello is likely to watch this game from the bench, as he struggles to recover from an injury.
Derek Boateng, Manu del Moral and Javier Arizmendi will have to outwit Almeria's midfielders to secure the full scoring and take Getafe three points closer fro mthe last European place. The hosts cannot let the visitors take the full scoring if they want to leave the bottom fight behind. Who'll succeed?
