Getafe vs Villarreal Match Preview

Villarreal must pay Michel's Azulones an awkward visit to kick off liga's 15th round. Juan Carlos Garrido will have to do without Italian international Giuseppe Rossi, but recovers Borja Valero to harmonize the attack.

Marco Ruben or Jozy Altidore are the main candidates to join Brazilian international Nilmar in the last meters of the field.

Two consecutive victories have lifted the spirit of Getafe's players who are aware Villarreal is a direct rival in the fight for the upper half of the positions table. The hosts will be missing two key defensive players: Derek Boateng (he received his fifth yellow card in the last game) and Borja Fernandez, who seems to be struggling with injuries.

Things won't be much easier for the visitors, as Juan Oriol will be ruled out with injuries. Joan Capdevilla and Carlos Marchena, on the other hand, are ready to return to the starting squad.

Two squads with similar strategies and an aggressive playing meet each other this Saturday at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. Who'll claim the three points?

Getafe vs Villarreal Match Report

Another feast for Barcelona at home over Martin Lasarte's Real Sociedad. Lio Messi's double, Andres Iniesta, David Villa and Bojan Krkic joined the party to prolong Barcelona's leadership.

Barcelona opened the score in the 8th minute of the game after a brilliant collective offense between Messi and Pedro. The Spaniard sent a perfect cross that Villa turned into the first goal.

Andres Iniesta was the builder of a powerful offense. Close to the hour mark he assisted Pedro and was given the ball back inside the box, scoring the second with a powershot.

Cule's machinery was at full capacity and the visitors couldn't find a way to stop its deadly advance. As soon as the second half started Lio Messi score the third after a delightful association with Daniel Alves.

The three-goal advantage let Barcelona cool down. Pedro was given a chance to rest after 60 minutes of incredible football. Xavi was replaced seven minutes later by Seydou Keita.

Messi was close from scoring the fourth in the 78th minute of the game but his shot hit Erreala's post. 10 minutes later he got away from four defenders and beat Claudio Bravo inside the box. Bojan sealed the fifth in the last minute of the game.

Another excellent performance for Barcelona, that accumulates 32 goals in the last eight matches. Real Sociedad is left one-point away from the last European place.
