Osasuna vs Barcelona Match Report

Osasuna's coach Jose Antonio Camacho might repeat the referee failed to give his side a penalty kick in the first fifteen minutes as Juanlu was challenged inside Victor Valdes' box, but it wouldn't have been enough to stop Barcelona from claiming the three points.

It was all about Lio Messi. The Argentinean star assisted Pedro with a beautiful cross in the first half before awakening in the second half, scoring two goals and securing the game for Pep Guardiola's Blaugranas. Messi has become the top striker of the Primera Division as well as the top assister.

The game was delayed 45 minutes as Barcelona took longer than expected to make it to the Reyno de Navarra. Xavi and Andres Iniesta were Messi's ideal partners in the attack while Sergio Busquets waved a security net in Pamplona to secure the game from the very beginning.

The visitors had a few decent chances to even the score as Javad Nekounam and Masoud joined Uruguayan Walter Pandiani in the attack whenever possible, but they could never break through Barcelona's sturdy defense.

Real Madrid will have to do things extremely well to take the first position off Barcelona's hands. Osasuna visits Valencia the following week while Barcelona lock horns with Real Sociedad.
