DC United vs Toronto FC Match Report
DC United lost 2-3 to Toronto FC at RFK Stadium. The side scored two early goals and looked on course to win, but Toronto’s attack was simply too strong to contain.
United were lightning quick with a goal in the 2nd minute from Santino Quaranta. Maicon Santos cancelled it out with a goal in the 23rd minute.
United captain Jaime Moreno put his team back ahead in the 39th minute. Toronto captain Dwayne De Rosario won the match for his side with two goals scored in the 48th and 65th minutes.
Both sides are out of contention for the playoffs, but the United captain was at least able to play his last MLS match in style, and go into retirement appreciated and respected.
