Godoy Cruz vs Colón Match Preview
The top has escaped far from Omar Asad's hands, but nonetheless Godoy Cruz is struggling to claim the second position off Argentinos' hands. The Tomba is undoubtedly this tournament's big revelation, as instead of fighting for the category Federico Higuain has taken its team to fight for the title, which now stands five points above their heads. Once again team's coach will change the formation to better battle their rival's forces; A three-man back line will not stand against Esteban Fuertes and his team, thus Zelmar García will return to the defense, taking Alejandro Camargo off the midfield. Jairo Castillo and Higuain will lead the offensive, and it is yet uncertain whether Rodrigo Salinas will be joining them or not. If Independiente takes down Argentinos and Estudiantes cannot defeat Rosario then Mendoza might rise ready to claim the top once again.
Colon is fighting with Velez and Lanus for the last spot for next year's Copa Sudamericana, but considering Velez will be facing bottom boys Chacarita while the Sabaleros have to visit Godoy Cruz it will be tough to obtain the qualification. This will be the first of two challenging matches for Antonio Mohammed and his squad, for next week Estudiantes will be traveling to Santa Fe ready to secure the top. Having won only one of the last 12 matches the Sabaleros need to recover their confidence before it's too late, Facundo Bertoglio's successful debut with Argentina's National Football Team (he scored two goals against Haiti last Wednesday) will boost his spirit and maybe he'll be able to transmit that feeling to his partners in the midfield, where Tomba's pressure is most intense.
