Boca Juniors vs Huracán Match Preview
Last week's victory over Independiente has been key for Boca Juniors to recover their spirit, as all the problems in the team disappeared when Tolo Gallego left its own ground ashamed, and now they'll be receiving home a rather weak opponent ready to climb even higher on the final standings, reaching the upper half of the positions table upon a victory and some assistance from their neighbors, an unexpected recovery considering the Xeneizes were occupying the second position from bottom only three weeks ago, and much of this has to do with Roberto Pompei's wisdom, even though it's made clear during the week he won't be directing the team during the summer and will return to the lower divisions. Nicolas Gaitan will be playing its last two matches with the gold & blue and once again he'll have a chance to show the finesse of his left foot when joining Roman Riquelme and Martin Palermo on the offensive. Having won three of the last four matches it looks like the bottom days are over for La Doce.
Chulo Rivoira had to face many difficulties commanding Globo's cruise, and even though it's been four weeks since Huracan lastly celebrated a victory the team remains competitive standing at the 10th position with 23 points. But the numbers frighten even more if we consider the team has been unable to score a goal in the last 300 minutes, and now it'll be even tougher to recover their path with three offensive absences; Ezequiel Filipetto, Andres Franzoia and Leandro Diaz will be unable to perform, relegating Gino Clara the whole responsibility of creating scoring opportunities. It is hard to understand Gustavo Balvorin's absence, for this young striker is Huracan's top striker in the tournament and has proven his skills over and over. Something smells funny in Parque Patricios, and this week's visit to La Bombonera can become a nightmare for the Globos if the three points are not obtained.
