Athletic Bilbao vs Almería Match Preview
Like Deportivo, Racing, Osasuna, and Real Zaragoza, Athletic Bilbao and Almeria will play in an afternoon kick-off.
The match will be staged at the San Mames which holds a capacity of almost 40,000 seats. It will interesting to see how Almeria will handle the pressure that is expected to be created by the home fans.
In a space of 180 minutes, Athletic Bilbao scored 4 goals and allowed 4 into their net as well; winning a 7-goal thriller 4-3 against Racing Santander was quite a way to bounce back from the 2-0 defeat they suffered away to Atletico Madrid on Match-Day 28.
But last week, they were crashed 4-1 by Barcelona at the Camp Nou and eventually experienced a little setback.
Despite remaining 6th in La Liga with 45 points, Bilbao now found themselves 3 points behind Mallorca and Sevilla and only 2 points above Villarreal who are pursuing their hunt for a top 4 or top 6 finish.
Almeria, though, will be disappointed not to have held on to their 1-0 lead when they played at home to Real Mallorca on April 4th.
Still, a point was enough to move them up to 11th in the standings. Almeria are 3 points off Atletico Madrid who occupy the last position in the top half of La Liga table.
