Banfield vs Gimnasia La Plata Match Preview
Last week's defeat relegated the Taladro to the sixth position, 8 points away from the top, and without a victory their chances of repeating last year's title would dim almost completely. Without Jose Devaca and Maximiliano Bustos (both having to take some time off due to physical problems) Julio Cesar Falcioni will have once again to find a way to make the most out of his players, but Banfield's fans are confident their coach has what it takes to tame the wolves on their trip to the south.
Yet unable to get off the relegation fight, Gimnasia will have a difficult time trying to reverse their situation facing current league's champion. Mariano Messera hurt his leg and will be sidelined at least for three weeks, and without him Diego Cocca will be lacking the expertise and solidity in the defensive its team is in need of. For this match Denis Stracqualursi will be unable to be within the starting eleven, and without team's key offensive player, the wolves will have to rely on their team play to stand against Taladro's overwhelming force.
