Hungary vs Germany Match Preview
So the Germans have played only two friendlies this year. The first of those was back in March against Argentina where a terrible performance saw them deservedly lose 1-0 in the end. In the middle of the month of May though, Germany thrashed Malta 3-0 in a game that shouldn't have been lost either way, considering the potential of Malta.
Now against Hungary, the Germans' mission is not only to win but to prove that they can play as a team even without their injured captain Michael Ballack. Germany will be exposed to Hungary's thirst for success. After missing out from the 2010 World Cup finals, there is no other way to look but at qualifying for the 2012 European Championship tournament.
If Hungary can get a positive result against Germany, it will give the team a boost of confidence of the 2012 Euro qualifiers where Sweden, Finland, Moldova, San Marino, and favorites the Netherlands will all fight for tickets. Germany will play Portugal's play-off victims Bosnia-Herzegovina on June 2 before opening their 2010 World Cup tournament against Australia.
