Juventus will be hoping to return to winning ways when they take on fierce rivals AC Milan in the quarter-final stage of the Coppa Italia at the Juventus Arena on Wednesday.
Surprisingly, Juventus blew a 1-0 half-time lead to lose 2-1 against Sampdoria at home in the Serie A on Sunday, a result which didn't affect their position at the league summit, but one that could be considered a setback and a clear indication to rival teams that they are not that unbeatable side that they were last season.
In last season's Coppa Italia, Juventus scraped past Milan 4-3 in a nail-biting two-legged semi-final, which was decided by an extra-time winner by Montenegrin striker Mirko Vucinic.
Milan, who have improved enormously in recent games after a miserable start to their 2012-13 campaign, will be looking to avenge that devastating defeat even though they are more than aware that Juventus still possess the strongest side in the country.
The Rossoneri beat Juventus 1-0 when the sides met earlier in the Serie A season, thanks to a penalty kick conversion from Robinho, and will be hoping to repeat the feat in Turin.
Milan, who last won the Coppa Italia in 2003, are unlikely to challenge for the Scudetto this season, and due to this the competition could be one of their only avenues to silverware. This, combined with the fact that Juve are one of their biggest rivals means Massimiliano Allegri's side will take the game very seriously.
Allegri is likely to make a few changes to his side, with Kevin Constant expected to get the nod ahead of Ignazio Abate in defence. Dutch mifielder Urby Emanuelson could replace Massimo Ambrosini, while it is unknown whether Allegri will choose Bojan or Gianpaolo Pazzini to partner Stephan El Shaarawy in the attack.
Juventus boss Antonio Conte will be overjoyed by the fact that Arturo Vidal will return to action after missing the victory over Siena on Sunday. However, the bad news is that Giorgio Chiellini continues to be absent, meaning that Martin Caceres will start the game. His inclusion may be a good thing considering that Caceres scored twice as Juventus beat Milan 2-1 in the Coppa Italia last year.
