Jose Mourinho was able to sign a deal to share his views on Premier League games after being given the boot by Manchester United, but he might lose quite a bit of money if he forgets about his deal with the Red Devils.
The Portuguese boss will appear on TV every Thursday and every Saturday, but his appearances on TV will be monitored by Man United's lawyers, since his severance deal with the club forbids him from making any comment regarding his exit from the club or the amount of money he was paid to end his contract with the historic club, according to a clause in his deal.
The Portuguese tactician is going to be paid just over $60,000 for his two appearances on TV, far less than the amount he collected during the World Cup, where Russian TV network RT paid him over $1M for a limited number of comments.
Mourinho was fired from his coaching job at Manchester United on December 18. He was allegedly paid over $15M to end his deal with the Red Devils, and he was cleared from joining any other team last week, when he signed the termination of his contract. Mourinho has been linked with a return to Real Madrid and was even offered Benfica's coaching gig, but he turned it down to wait for one more opportunity.
