According to L'Equipe, the Frenchman is keen on managing in the English top-flight.

Ever since Zinedine Zidane shocked the world and stepped down as Real Madrid manager, his next destination has become a hot topic. The Frenchman is yet to publicly reveal his plans for the future, but L'Equipe claims to know his intentions.

The French publication reports that Zizou is eyeing a move to the Premier League. Despite having been linked with moves to Juventus and the Middle-East, the World Cup winner is reportedly keen on taking over at Man United next season.

While the Red Devils are currently under Jose Mourinho's management, the Portuguese boss has come under heavy criticism. Zidane would fancy his chances of replacing the Special One should the English giant fail to win a trophy and struggle to play attractive football.

However, this does not mean an Old Trafford takeover is Zidane's only objective. The former Blancos boss is currently enjoying a holiday after his successful yet demanding reign at the Bernabeu, but he could take a job elsewhere should something attractive become available.

Interestingly, L'Equipe claims that the 46-year-old's desire to move to England is down to Didier Deschamps. After winning the World Cup in Russia, the France boss has silenced his critics and has secured his job for the foreseeable future, thus killing Zidane's odds of becoming the national team boss anytime soon.

As for Mourinho, the man Zizou might oust if things unfolded as stated in L'Equipe's report, he began the new English top-flight campaign with a 2-1 win over Leicester. The Portuguese tactician will be keen to build on their winning start to challenge Man City for the title.
