Two former champions with the Brazilian National Team expected more from their top performer in the competition.

After being trolled by the entire world, it was time for those who know what it feels like to have everyone looking up to you to share their views on Neymar's performance during the FIFA World Cup.

Both Cafú and Ronaldo had less than flattering words towards Neymar due to his diving antics throughout the competition, but mostly because both of them know he's better than what was seen from him during the competition.

The first one to share his views on how Neymar behaved during the tournament was Ronaldo, who showed his disappointment over Brazil's early exit from the competition.

I admit that we were expecting more from him. He's the main striker and Brazil's crack, and we wanted more. Now,Neymar will begin playing in the French league and this is over. Our expectations were higher than what he ended up delivering. But he's 25 or 26 years old and there's a lot of responsibility on his shoulders," the former striker stated.

Cafú's thoughts were along the same lines, but he laid back on the criticism when talking about the team's entire performance and their coach's overall work.

"Neymar is the best Brazilian player of our time, but we can't judge his career for 30 poor minutes that led to the team's exit. We missed the Neymar that we saw during the Qualifiers, joyful and making a difference. But I'm sure that he will learn from his mistakes and will eventually bounce back," Cafú added.

Speaking about his diving antics, Ronaldo shared what Neymar told him a few years ago, pointing out that being mocked on social media is irrelevant for PSG's ace.

"What happens on social media doesn't matter to him, because it's just people making memes. We have to forget about that and live with it. However, he needs to improve when handlinh his emotions during a game. He needs to understand how to work better with and without malice when playing football," Ronaldo added.
