The Italian outfit has sealed its first transfer of the summer.

Napoli has reached an agreement with Sporting C. P. for the services if Portuguese shot-stopper Ruin Patricio. The Partenopei, now headed by Carlo Ancelotti, is aiming to build a formidable side worthy to battle Juventus for the Serie A title after coming close to winning it in the just ended season.

Rui Patricio comes in as a replacement for the veteran Pepe Reina whose contract with the Naples club ends in June. The 35 years old Spanish international has been tipped to join AC Milan. According to Portuguese paper A Bola, the Partenopei is expected to pay €18m for the Euro 2016 winner plus an additional €2m in add-ons.

Patricio’s contract is said to be a five-year contract worth €2m per season.
