8-year old Leonardo Farías narrowly survived Tuesday's earthquake in Mexico City, and his family got support from some top-caliber names in the world of football.

Just as Cristiano Ronaldo did yesterday, Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Dani Alves showed their solidarity to eight-year-old boy Leonardo Farías, who got trapped by falling debris in the 7.1 earthquake that slammed Mexico City last week.

"Leo" is a big Barcelona fan, and his story became viral after Mexican footballers such as Rafa Márquez and Oribe Peralta sent him messages of support. His uncles tried to get Lionel Messi to show the boy some love, and they got their reply not only from the Argentinan, but also from his former team-mate and the Uruguayan ace.

The first player to step up and send a message was Dani Alves

"Hi Leonardo, I'm Dani Alves. I'm here to send you my support and lots of strength. I hope God blesses you and helps you recover from everything. I send my best wishes to you and those around you. Big hug, may you find comfort in God, and may He bless all of Mexico."
