The Spanish striker will return to work under coach Diego Simeone after three years with the Blues, where he helped them win two EPL titles.

Diego Costa finally got what he wanted, and will now return to the Spanish capital to play for the team he loves the most.

In a short press release issued by Chelsea today, the Blues informed their fans that Costa will set sail for Spain this winter, following a tense summer that saw the Spaniard get into a war of words with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.

This is how the Blues announced the agreement for Costa's transfer on their website.

According to Costa, the Italian coach sent him a text message in which he told him to look for other employment opportunities. Since then, Costa refused to return to Chelsea's training grounds and demanded to be transferred back to Los Colchoneros.
