Here are six records that could be broken when the Bianconeri take on Los Blancos in Cardiff on Saturday.

Saturday’s Champions League final is the most anticipated game for any football fan. The two top sides in Europe’s club competition will go head-to-head for the prestigious prize in Cardiff over the weekend.

Juventus are in search of their first title in 21 years, but the tournament’s most successful side stand in their way. Real Madrid could win a record 12th title, but face one of Europe’s toughest defenses.

Here are four records that could be set on Saturday in the Champions League final.

1. Real Madrid to end the back-to-back trophies wait?

Four teams – Milan, Ajax, Juventus, and Man United – prior to Real Madrid this season have attempted to defend their Champions League title only to lose in the final. Los Blancos, the holders, will be the fifth team to give this a go.

No team in Champions League history has won back-to-back titles. Los Blancos could become the first to achieve this feat.

2. One more goal and Los Blancos will set a huge accomplishment

Whilst Juventus are known for mastering the art of defense, Real Madrid score like no other team. One more goal for the Spanish giants would see them become the first team to reach 500 Champions League goals.

3. Ramos and Cristiano chasing their own goalscoring records

4. Juve to end Los Blancos’ unbeaten run?

Real Madrid have been in five Champions League finals, facing Atletico (2), Bayer Leverkusen, Valencia, and Juventus. Los Blancos triumphed all five times. The Old Lady could become the first team to beat Les Merengues in a Champions League final.

5. Ronaldo for another hat-trick?

One cannot bet against Cristiano scoring a hat-trick. He set records for his back-to-back three-goal hauls against Bayern and Atletico. Should he score three past Juventus, he will become the first player to register a hat-trick in the Champions League final.

6. Buffon – the oldest Champions League winner?

Buffon, at 39 years and 126 days, is still going strong despite his age. If Juve wins on Saturday, the goalie will become the oldest player to lift the trophy.
