He is now No. 5 on France's all-time top scorers' list!

Two ex-Gunners teammates faced different plights in the international friendly encounter between France and Colombia. David Ospina failed to get hold of a low-cross by French full-back Lucas Digne and rather spilled the ball into the path of ex-teammate Olivier Giroud.

The Chelsea man made no error of it inside the penalty area to open the scoring for Les Bleus. Per the history books, the goal was Olivier Giroud's 30th for the French national team, making him the seventh player in the country's history to score 30 goals. He is currently a goal away from equalling Zinedine Zidane's 31-goal tally for France.

The forward is yet to hit the ground running for Chelsea after making a switch in the winter transfer window from rivals Arsenal. Fans of the Blues will hope that his strike is a prelude for better things to come as they aim to put up a fight for a Top 4 place when the league resumes.
