Jose Mourinho's press conferences always have something interesting, and this time, it was no different.
The Special One had started answering questions when a journalist asked him about how fans are frustrated by the team's exit from the UEFA Champions League. That question caused a 12-minute rant by Mourinho, who spoke about Manchester United's failure to win the Premier League title, and how he has been forced to deal with a poor "football heritage"
"I say to the fans that the fans are the fans and have the right to their opinions and reactions but there is something that I used to call football heritage(...) And what a manager inherits is something like the last time Manchester United won the Champions League which didn't happen a lot of times, was in 2008," Mourinho stated.
He then looked back at some of his former clubs, such as Real Madrid.
"When I arrived in Real Madrid, do you know how many players (had played in a) quarter-final of the Champions League? Xabi Alonso with Liverpool, Casillas with Real Madrid and Ronaldo with Manchester United. All the others not even a quarter-final, that's football heritage," Mourinho elaborated.
Before the rant concluded, he gave one more example on how he was ready to fight for his job, just like other club employees are doing right now.
