The Spanish tactician has already agreed to extend his stint with the Citizens, but there are things to be sorted out first.

Pep Guardiola's second season has proven to be a success, even if he's had his share of mishaps like the one in the FA Cup on Monday. Regardless, Manchester City's hierarchy wants to keep the boss around for more time, and talks about a contract extension seem to be on the right track.

The Catalan boss has already agreed that he will sign a contract extension with the Citizens, but he's named one condition to make it happen soon: having Manchester City winning a title.

According to the Daily Mail, Guardiola would sign a two-year contract extension, added to one more season signed in his first deal with the Citizens. Guardiola's wage would go up to $24M per season. Guardiola would remain as Manchester City's boss until the end of the 2020-21 season if this deal is completed.

The 47-year old coach has been in charge of the Citizens in 98 games, winning 67 of them. With the League Cup final just around the corner, it could be a matter of days before Pep extends his deal with Manchester City.
