One of Manchester United's most disappointing signings of the LVG era is leaving the club, as the Red Devils and Olympique Lyonnais have agreed a €22M fee to sign Dutch wingman Memphis Depay.
The player, who saw his playing time cut short with Van Gaal and Mourinho, could return to Old Trafford in the next few years, as the Red Devils have included a buyback clause in the player's contract, along with other add-ons the French side will have to pay if they reach UEFA Champions League spots.
This season, Depay had played only four games for the Red Devils, failiing to send the ball into the back of the net. Considering the team's style of play under Mourinho, both parties agreed to part ways, so the 22-year-old could find playing time elsewhere.
Fans seemed to be quite happy with this move, as they replied to Depay's transfer news with some cruel trolls. Have a look.

Just a reminder that Memphis Depay cost Man United £31 million, only £700,000 less than we paid for Alexis Sanchez #AFC

Looks like Man United's deal with Lyon for Memphis Depay only favours the selling club. Buy-back and sell-on + decent fee. Shrewd business.
