I have to say I'm very disappointed with Bell. I switched to them a few years back because I felt Rogers was useless. However it seems that in the last couple of years it's changed. Now it's Rogers doing everything it can to bring in customers. I also have spoken to Bell ExpressView customer service and not only was the person rude, but obviously didn't have an idea of the channel I was referring to. Atleast they could educate their staff of upcoming channels that may be provided. Call it false hope, but atleast it would be something. Also if I have to pay an extra $80 to get his channel then I'm going to call Bell and threaten to cancel with them. Tat would be ubsurd conidering that Rogers is providing it for free for the first few months. Plus, I have everything with them, cellphones, sympatico and expressview, so they would be looking to lose a customer that pays quite a bit every month.

I just sent Bell another e-mail. This time I got nasty. I told them if they don't pick this channel soon I'll be moving soon to Rogers. Also said that I'm tired of recieving the same generic answer about how they will forward my request to the marketing dept. Guess what their response was, the same as before. Their useless. I don't even think anyone reads the e-mail we send them.

 Post subject: cool contest
Hey everyone! I was just on the GOLTV website (www.goltvcanada.com) and there's this contest to win a PVR from Rogers Cable!!! or an italian or spanish kit of your choice! I'm always working when games are on and I've wanted to get a PVR for so long!!!! Anyway, I thought I'd pass it on to everyone. Maybe one of us will win! If anyone but me does, maybe you'll wanna trade for something!

I am a client with Videotron Illico digital cable in Quebec and it seems we have the same situation as with Bellexpressvu. Every time you call their customer service about Goltv they have no clue of what your talking about. I have been calling 3 times a week to inquire. The latest answer I got from them was that if Rogers had it and Bellexpressvu was plannig on having it, that they would have it but had no clue when! This is quite surprising from a company that originaly sponsered the request for a licence from the CRTC!

No one is putting a gun to your head to watch it. You can tune into rerun EPL game on Foxsports World instead, much more exciting.

I just bought an upgrade kit for my BELL satellite, it was around $90.00 but Bell will refund it in 6 months. So how it works is that you have to subscribe to a channel that needs an upgrade kit and every month there will be a $15.00 refund on your bill.
I’ll let you guys know is there is any thing for GOLTV on second satellite. Couple of times when I called Bell, they told me that it will most likely would be on second satellite. (When it launches)

It is a similar answer from Videotron. If we look at previous channels added recently, they both (Videotron and Bellexpressvu) have added them at nearly the same time, so same thing will probably happen with Goltv. What no one seems to be able to say is when!!

Latest rumor! I heard from someone involved in the soccer scene in Montreal and is organizing tournaments where Goltv Canada migth be involved in sponsorship, that Videotron will launch Goltv Canada sometime from Dec.15th to Dec.25th. Anyone else now about this?

Man,I diggin' Goltv on my Rogers Digital sooooo much.I mean, who would have thought even as early as the start of the current season, that I here in Toronto-Canada could be home on a Saturday afternoon in my big comfy chair watching my footie heroes',Real Madrid, play against a team absolutely loaded, and I mean loaded, with talent,in Barca?I am in heaven, pure heaven. That all said, half way thru the game I was about to throw a GD brick thru the TV screen. Why?Those bloody announcers drove me insane.Yes,Barca played great, but the hard-on these two bozos had for Ronnie' and Messi was just to unbearable to listen to.I say, shut up and let the game do the talking,or better yet bring in some of the English commentators to do the games. They are unrivalled,IMHO,when it comes to doing the footie thang'.Anyone else share my opinion?
HALA MADRID!!!!!!!!

We would like to do so, unfortunately it's impossible to watch the bloody network here in Montreal.
Last year we had a few games from Gol-tv via Sportsnet and i have to say the commentary was very poor.

Can we get some kind of feedback for GOLTV from people who do have it? How is their daily news?
I am quit happy with FSWC daily news, it's like 7 days a week and it covers almost everywhere. By the way, is that broadcast from LA or right here in Canada?

FSWC is broadcast in/from Winnipeg,Manitoba of all places, and everyone on the desk,Jeremy,Carlos',Mitch, the lady, who's name escapes me at the moment are all Canadian born.Bobby Mac',who may be a Canadian citizen now,is obviously from the 'Old Country','Bonnie auld Scotland'.And to answer your question Amir,I have both Goltv and FSWC and IMHO,FSWC is the better of the two stations when it comes to daily news.

Gol TV Canada is available on channel #404 from BEV but you need to have an LNB pointing to Nimiq 2 at 82 degrees.
So far the programming has been mostly from the US-based GolTV parent. They broadcast primarily spanish, italian and south american soccer.
The commentary is in spanish with a secondary english feed. The quality of english commentary is patchy as this is obviously not the mother tongue of the commentators.

How do you go about ordering it from BEV? I tried calling them and most of the people I speak to don't even have the channel listed yet

I have just called Bellexpressvu and they told me that at this time Goltv is not available on their system and the updated channel grid on their web site doesn`t show Goltv. Position 404 is now empty. So I don`t understand how you can catch that channel on a "legit" Bellexpressvu system. On the other hand, I heard that a rep for Goltv that was present at a soccer function last week said that a deal with Videotron is done and that the channel should be available on the Illico digital cable system before the 25th of december. Who should we believe?

I just got the upgrade kit for BELL and it doesn’t have channel 404, my dish is pointing at 82 degrees and 92. (It was free from BELL).
GOLTV is being tested on channel 404 for about a month now but no residential customer can view it yet.
There is a good possibility that it will be on the second satellite.

Post subject: Goltv spanish league announcer
Hello.
We are very happy to have more soccer games to watch, but are disappointed with the English announcing. Who is the guy who does the English announcing for the Spanish League? His accent is bewildering at best. I think I can speak for all the Latin community and others who love Spanish and South American soccer: Would you PLEASE consider broadcasting the games in their original language!!!!!!!!!!!
Muchas Gracias
