Does anyone know what happened to the EPL Review Show that used to be on Fox Sports World Canada on Sunday and Monday nights?

I think last season they showed it on Setanta USA and Fox Canada, but Setanta Canada is not showing it (USA still is I believe) and Fox Canada does not seem to have it anymore.

The only thing we have that seems to come close is the brief highlights (with "Sports-centre like narration by James Sharnahan) on the Footy Show on The Score on Sunday and Monday evenings, but it does not even come close to the UK produced EPL review show (with longer game highlights and orginal UK commentaries) - which I think is produced by the Premier League itself for worldwide distribution.

Basically, FSWC no longer has the rights for the EPL and Setanta does. But at this time, Setanta can't televise a program like this due to CRTC regulations.

CRTC ......still praying for the day Canada grows up and kills that obsolete organization.

These days, the incumbent networks (TSN, Rogers etc) in the market use the CRTC more to protect their current status by throwing up roadblocks to new entrants like Setanta.

Whatever happened to letting the market decide what they will watch and which channels will survive (oh, I forgot, this is Canada) instead of having the CRTC produce an arcane set of rules to supposedly protect our "Canadian identity".

Good luck to Setanta trying to come up with 10% Canadian content (or whatever it is they presumably need to become a channel as opposed to PPV) - doesn't the CRTC realize that given our size, there is only so much "worthwhile" Canadian content that can be produced, especially relative to the amount of "world-class" global content that can be brought into Canada.
