Hey. I was wondering if anybody knew if it is easy to buy match tickets to manchester united home or away games. Can a fan go to the match and pick up tickets on the day of the game from scalpers or someone, like a fan can do here in canada at an nhl game? If so are the prices from scalpers reasonable, like around $100-125, or are they like $200-$250. Thank you very much for your replys.

Lotsa luck. It's kinda like getting tickets to see the Toronto Maple Leafs. Very difficult. The vast majority are season tickets. One way to get single game tickets list is to go to www.manutd.com and join "OneUnited" which costs about 10 UK pounds (CAN$24). you can then get on a waiting list. and you can also access the ticket exchange and buy a ticket from a season ticket holder for a specific game.

I don't think it's that easy to get a ticket from a scalper because I believe all tickets are checked against the holder's name. And if a season ticket holder gets caught scalping, he loses his tickets and is banned from Man Utd. There's probably a way, but I imagine it's very expensive.

As for away games, sure you can get tickets, but they won't be for the Man United section since they are only available through Man United fan clubs (or, same as above) and if you sit in the home section and cheer for Manyoo you'll probably be ejected....if you're lucky.

I have been to Manchester numerous times and have never been able to get tickets for Old Trafford. But if you want to see real football go to watch Man City Wink or better still, Stockport County Laughing

If you're really serious about going to a game contact a Man United fan club in Canada or the States. I'm sure they can help or advise you. I believe they occassionally arrange special trips to Manchester to watch games.

I'm a Man City fan so i can't really see the attraction Wink but good luck to you and i hope you get to see your heroes one day.

Sign up with some of the fans forums and they usually have a place to sell tickets and there's no touts, all sales are face value. Mind don't think of reselling (for profit) as you'll get lynched by members on the sites.

I got 3 tickets no problem for champion league game against Lille when I was back visiting family. Tickets are pretty easy to get these days with the increased capacity at the ground.

Tickets are alot easier to get now than in recent years, dont believe people that say you can never get tickets (they are people that can not be bothered to try).

As mentioned above it is a good idea to join the Canadian Supporters Club and the One United.

It is possible to buy tickets of scalpers, but they are extremely expensive.
It is the most easiest to buy tickets at the start of the season than at the end (especially if chasing the league title) It is also easier to get tickets for midweek games especially against the small European teams and if already qualified for the next stage.

Another option is the League Cup games which are normally mid week, although Fergie normally plays youngsters with some first team squad, but with the squad he currently has, im thinking it may be abit different this season.
