Euro 2008 Venue: St. Jakob-Park in Basel, Switzerland

The St. Jakob-Park stadium opened in March of 2001. It is a multi-functional stadium with a seated capacity of 42,500. The stadium has cafes and restaurants and shopping facilities. It is apx 10 km from the airport and 3 km from the city centre. It is accessible by public transit. The stadium has an been designed with an modern infrastructure which includes solar power making it extremely efficient.
