The former footballer shared his views on what will be Boateng's influence in the team while discussing the future of other players.

Kevin Prince-Boateng's signing may not be the last one for Barcelona in the ongoing transfer window, as Sports Director Eric Abidal hinted that there could be a couple more negotiations taking place before January 31.

Speaking at the unveiling of the Ghanaian striker, Abidal admitted that there could be signings and exits in the next nine days, given that some players are still looking for more playing time and Barcelona must fill their possible voids.

"You never know is this will be the end of the transfer window for Barcelona. Right now, we have to work things out with the players that are not enjoying a good amount of minutes," Abidal said.

The French execs' words were indirectly linked to Denis Suárez, who has been tempted by Arsenal to move to England on a loan deal. Speaking about signings, Abidal referred to Frenkie de Jong, a major transfer target for Los Blaugranas who seemed to be slipping away due to Manchester City and PSG's interest.

"You would have to raise that question to the footballer himself. He knows there are many clubs interested in his services, and he has to make his choice. All we can do is wait," Abidal added.

Last, but not least, Abidal referred to Kevin Prince-Boateng's signing.

"He has an interesting profile as a player. He's the kind of No.9 we needed, an experienced guy who can handle the pressure. He's aware of his role, he's the type of player we needed for the last months of the season and hopefully he'll help us to win the titles we are looking for," Abidal concluded.
