The team's misfortunes during the summer transfer window will force The Special One to give these players one more chance.

Manchester United's disappointing transfer window has forced Jose Mourinho to take extreme measures when deciding which players could still leave the club...and which are not allowed to do so.

According to a report by ESPN, the Portuguese boss has ruled out any transfers involving two alleged outcasts: Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo. The pair had been previously linked with moves away from Old Trafford, but the team's transfer business -or lack there of- forced Mourinho to think twice about the departures of these players.

Darmian had been linked with a return to Serie A teams such as Inter and Roma, while Rojo was on Fenerbahce's radar, but now, both players will have one more chance to earn a spot in the team's lineups for the next six months.

Darmian even played 90 minutes for the Red Devils during their EPL debut this season on Friday. Antonio Valencia and Diogo Dalot's injuries played a major role in Mourinho's decision, but the Italian finished that game on a high note, giving the Portuguese boss a chance to think twice before letting him leave.

Rojo is still recovering from an injury he picked up during the team's pre-season, but he is expected to feature in some of Man United's upcoming games, especially since there are not too many fit center backs in Mou's squad.

Will any of these players survive the ax for the entire season? Only time will tell.
