Griezmann's brother drops hint over Atletico star's future

Whether the Frenchman, linked with Barcelona, will stay with Simeone's side or move to the Camp Nou remains unanswered.

Much hype surrounds the future of Atletico Madrid superstar Antoine Griezmann. While there is nothing yet official over the player's situation, his brother has dropped a hint as to where he might be playing next season.

The initial belief was that his Barcelona move was done and dusted. With the Blaugrana reserving the number 7 jersey despite Coutinho's arrival and claims an agreement had already been struck, many were led to believe that his Camp Nou switch was just a matter of time.

Then conflicting reports emerged that the Frenchman decided to stay in Madrid prior to their final game of the season but opted against announcing his decision so as not to hog the spotlight from Torres' farewell. He ended up getting booed by some portions of the Wanda Metropolitano, leaving many worried that his falling out with the supporters could force his exit.

However, if his brother's Instagram story is anything to go by, the attacker might still be keen on remaining with Simeone's side. Theo Griezmann posted a story on that social media platform singing "I love you, Atleti" while leaving Stade de France with their sister and Antoine's agent, Maud Griezmann.

This might not be the confirmation Los Rojiblancos supporters are waiting for, but it could be a family insight into the Frenchman's plan. After finally enjoying European success at the club, albeit it was the Europa League, he might now be convinced on staying put.

Currently, Griezmann is with the national side preparing for the upcoming World Cup. He featured in Monday's friendly win over Ireland and will likely play a part in their next warm-up against Italy.
