The Reds have finally gotten one over their bitter rivals!

Football fans all over the globe were dealt with a shock after Brazil and AS Monaco star Fabinho joined Liverpool despite frequently being linked to Manchester United. Just like every summer transfer window in recent times, rumors of the 24-year-old's impending transfer to the Red Devils have been in full swing although the likes of Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain were also cited as possible destinations for the midfielder.

Nevertheless, a seemingly swift business between Liverpool and AS Monaco saw Fabinho's signing being announced across the Merseysiders' social media platforms on Monday evening. Liverpool's official website also revealed that the player is already at the club's Melwood training facility for a visit and will officially become a Red when he signs his long-term contract on July 1.

Fabinho's transfer fee is believed to be in the region of worth 45 million Euros (plus 5 million in bonuses).
