Next up on their plate is a trip to Newcastle. While Arsene might rest a few key players for the Europa League as he did in last weekend’s Premier League win, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should be ready to lead the attack.
The Gabonese ace is ineligible to play for the north London side in Europe, but that has not stopped him from making an impressive start in England. The former BVB ace has contributed to seven goals – scored six and assisted one – in his first seven games and will be eager to add to his tally on Sunday.
David Ospina (ankle) and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (knee) are both absent, with the latter player’s injury being a huge blow to the team. Elswhere, Jack Wilshere (ankle) and Granit Xhaka (illness) could feature.
The home side has no injury worries ahead of this crucial tie. Islam Slimani could be handed his first start for Newcastle, which could trouble the Gunners’ defense.
