The Italian boss ruled out joining the Azzurri side in May since he is eager to land a coaching job in the English Premier League.

The dream of some of Arsenal's fans may be closer to coming true, as Carlo Ancelotti has nearly ruled out the possibility of coaching the Italian National Team despite the Azzurri's interest to sign him.

Ancelotti's words to Corriere dello Sport hint that the Italian boss is closer to sealing his move to the Emirates, since he turned down the offer to coach Italy in order to wait for a job in the Premier League.

"My answer is this: the federation, now with the help of Coni, must create its own new structure, after which it will make the decision. I rest of my idea, it takes first clarity, then you can think about it, even if my goal is still to train a club team," Ancelotti told the Italian newspaper.

Despite being heavily linked to lead Italy's resurrection, Ancelotti hinted that even if he's held talks with some EPL clubs, he can't go out and say he's already secured a deal with the Gunners.

"I still do not know, it's all on the high seas, you have to wait a couple of months," the coach added.

Ancelotti, Antonio Conte and Roberto Mancini are included in the Italian Federation's shortlist to become their new boss. With Ancelotti's claims and Conte's advanced talks to become PSG's new manager, it seems like Roberto Mancini will be the one to overtake the Azzurri's coaching duties.

Will Ancelotti be able to bring greatness back to Arsenal? Let's wait a couple of months to find out if he strikes a deal with them.
