The Spanish manager's days at Parc des Princes are numbered.

Unai Emery’s days at PSG are numbered. The Spanish manager arrived in Paris after winning the Europa League with Sevilla but has been unable to guide the French giant to European success.

His departure, though unconfirmed, is widely accepted to be inevitable. His contract ends in June and there is little to suggest he will be offered an extension.

Now, one of his own players appears to have confirmed the manager’s exit. Speaking at a press conference, Thomas Meunier suggested that a new boss will be arriving at Parc des Princes this summer.

"I'm waiting because a lot of things, including the coach, will change. I am no longer eighteen, I am twenty-six, I am in full possession of my means. I need to assert myself in a club. I need to show what I can do. The club knows my position," the Belgian right-back said, as per France Football, after being questioned over his future with the Ligue 1 leader.

The safest bet is on the Spanish tactician being replaced. The biggest reason for this is his failure to win the Champions League despite the heavy investment on PSG’s squad.

The club shattered the world-record transfer fee to sign Neymar and agreed on a mega-million deal for Kylian Mbappe but still crashed out of the tournament in the round of 16. The loss to Real Madrid is believed to be the final nail in Emery’s coffin.

Journalists are now racing to predict his replacement. Antonio Conte, another manager coming under fire, has been heavily linked with the position after butting heads with the Chelsea board.
