The Swedish ace is being linked with a move to the Los Angeles Galaxy, with his possible debut taking place next week.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's stint at Manchester United came to an end abruptly today, as the club revealed both parties agreed to part ways earlier today.

The Swedish ace helped the Red Devils to win the 2017 UEFA Europa League in his first season, but his contribution to the team took a dip this season following a knee injury during a UEL clash in April.

The team revealed the news on its website via a press release.

"Manchester United confirms that it has agreed to the termination of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract with immediate effect. Everyone at the club would like to thank Zlatan for his contribution to the team since his arrival and wishes him well for the future," the document states.

Ibrahimovic thanked all Manchester United fans with an Instagram post while pledging loyalty to their colors.

Los Angeles Galaxy, Ibrahimovic's next stop?

Following the Swedish striker's departure from the English Premier League giants, some sources have emerged with details on where the player will continue his career. According to North American media outlets ESPN and Sports Illustrated, "Ibra" will join MLS' Los Angeles Galaxy by the end of the week, and he could make his debut with them on March 31.

The Swedish ace and his partner had been rumored to be searching for a home in Beverly Hills, anticipating a move to the American top flight. If things go as planned, Ibrahimovic could make his debut against the league's new franchise, Los Angeles Football Club.

According to ESPN, Ibrahimovic will collect a $1.5M salary for two years. Despite initial rumors, the Swedish striker will not arrive to the Galaxy as a designated player, since those spots have already been handed to the Dos Santos brothers (Giovani and Jonathan) and Romain Alessandrini.
