Sergio Busquets raised some concerns after helping his Barca team sneak a win past Atletico Madrid.

Inconsistencies in performances saw Valverde’s men drawing three of their last five games prior to the encounter with Simeone’s side on Sunday. However, thanks to a Lionel Messi first half strike, the Catalans now rest at the summit of La Liga with eight points separating them and second-placed Atletico Madrid.

To some, the league has been virtually won by Barcelona although there are still 11 more games left to be played this season. Nonetheless, midfield powerhouse of the Blaugrana, Sergio Busquets, believes that himself and his teammates cannot get ahead of themselves just yet as the tendency to slip still exists.

"There is no time to relax. We were nine points away not so long ago

"From now until the end of the season we have to go difficult stadium, Busquets expressed in his post-match interview with SPORT.

"There are 11 games left so we have to go game by game and we have the Champions League soon of course.

"It is a very tight schedule but we look forward and think we can win many big things."

"In the first half we were better and we had opportunities and the goal from Leo, who was fantastic.

"That's how you win leagues, by suffering, when you are not 100 percent but getting the best out of your players."

Barcelona still remains unbeaten in 34 La Liga games. The club will take on Espanyol in the Supercopa de Catalunya on Wednesday before they play Malaga and Chelsea, respectively.
