The Polish ace is no stranger to Los Blancos links, with rumors of a Bernabeu switch returning to the headline.

Real Madrid’s search for a striker is no secret and is nothing new. Their struggle for goals has them looking for a new attacker, with Robert Lewandowski emerging as a possible candidate.

This is according to a report by Marca which claims the Polish forward has offered himself to Los Blancos. His desire for a Santiago Bernabeu move is no secret, but only now is everything falling into place.

Firstly, there is Bayern Munich’s new-found willingness to let him go. The article states that the Bundesliga leader is open to the idea of selling him as they do not wish to keep him at the Allianz Arena against his will.

He will require a hefty transfer fee, as his contract with the Bavarians runs until 2021. That should not be a problem for Zidane’s side, though, as the likes of Benzema and Cristiano could be headed out the door.

The striker turns 30 later this year, but he is still going strong despite his age. He is the German top-flight’s top scorer with 18 goals so far this campaign and should thus guarantee the Madrid side tons of goals.

The player’s agent, Cezary Kucharski, is acquainted with Real Madrid’s higher-ups. He has been to the club several times before and has reportedly approached Los Merengues over a transfer on many occasions.

This means Lewandowski’s four-year spell in Munich could come to an end. This could also be his last shot at a Real Madrid move, as he will soon find himself on the wrong side of 30.
