Zinedine Zidane can't be blamed for selling out his team, but he will surely be questioned by those who want to shake things up a bit.
In his pre-match press conference, the French boss killed all of Real Madrid fans' hopes of landing a new player to help with the teams woes this winter, as he believes that his current squad can get the job done.
"I don't need anybody (to sign) and that's that. I don't want anybody, I don't want anything. We have a squad, I believe in my squad. There are moments in the season that are difficult, but everything is in front of us and we will see what happens between now and the end of the season," Zidane stated earlier today.
The tactician admitted that he's been annoyed by those comments that imply he could be facing a battle with his president, who is believed to be interested in trying to sign player to turn the current crisis around.
"Those who don't know me believe I want to battle my president. I can't do that, because I know no one can consider himself above the team's interests. I'm just one more of those who came and went into the team, I talk about my squad and I'll take a stand to defend them, and that's it," Zidane added.
Real Madrid's boss was 30 minutes late for this presser, mainly because he held a private talk with his players. Without revealing any details on the conversation, Zidane shared a plan of action to try and revert this crisis.
"What we've done up to this point hasn't been enough. I think that the players believe that working is the only thing that will get us out of this funk. We have to work harder, its not just a mental or a physical thing, if I held a private talk with them, I expect to get something good out of it," Zidane concluded.
