On Saturday, Man United kicked off Matchday 2 of the new Premier League season with a trip to Swansea. Fresh off an impressive 4-0 win over West Ham, the Red Devils needed another win to dispel belief that there opening day win was mere fluke.
And win they did. Mediocre defending from the Swans helped, but the 20-time Premier League champions were ruthless and efficient nonetheless, marching on to another convincing 4-0 win.
Eric Bailly opened the scoring to give the away side a 1-0 lead heading into the break. The score remained this way until the 80th minute when three goals in three minutes and 41 seconds saw Man United run away with the win.
With three goals in two games under Lukaku’s belt, two clean sheets in as many games under their defense’s belt, and eight goals in their first two games; many could not help but tip Mourinho’s men to win the title.
It's @ManUtd #mufc season you know.

When you realise the West Ham win wasn't a fluke and Man United might actually be really good this year... pic.twitter.com/RX1Wd3un3u

Hate to say it but United will win the league

In the same way Chelsea were last season, this United team is so efficient and it's why I think they'll win the league.
— Shane Burns (@ShaneBurns_) August 19, 2017
Of course, not many agreed with the above tweets. Others felt that this prediction – the Red Devils winning the title – is premature given that their first two opponents were West Ham and Swansea, clubs that struggled last season.
Fair play to Man United, who will now be presented with the Premier League trophy at full time following wins against West Ham and Swansea.

United beating two relegation candidates and now they're going to win the league

Give me strength.
Man United looking really good this season, it's never easy beating world class teams like West Ham and Swansea!

I'll withhold my judgment of Man United until they play a team that doesn't roll over for them
