Arsenal broke their opening day curse this season by beating Leicester in Matchday 1, putting an end to a run of bad results in the first round. Unfortunately, their next game will see them travel to a stadium where they have struggled before.
Wenger’s side travel to Stoke for their first away game of 2017/18, but an impressive attacking display against Leicester could see them win this game. Alexandre Lacazette, who looks to become the first Arsenal player to score in his first two Premier League games, will spearhead their attack.
The north London giants will be without Koscielny, who serves the last match of his three-game ban. Mertesacker is expected to return to the starting eleven.
Alexis Sanchez will not play a part in Saturday’s game, as he has just recovered from an abdominal injury. Mustafi and Coquelin will be back in the squad.
Stoke could field a number of their summer signings. Hughes revealed that he wants all of his new signings to take part in the Arsenal clash; which means Bruno Martins Indi, Darren Fletcher, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Josh Tymon and Kurt Zouma could all be involved.
Jese Rodriguez could make his English Premier League debut on Saturday. The former Real Madrid starlet signed for the Potters on loan and will look to impress against the Gunners.
