The Spanish side is ready to work out a deal to add Diego Costa to their squad in January, but they wouldn't wait 6 months to bid for him.

The transfer saga involving Diego Costa could soon come to a happy end for the striker, as Atlético Madrid are preparing a bid to sign the rebellious footballer away from Chelsea.

According to the Daily Mail, Atlético will present a €45M offer to sign the wantaway star, but they wouldn't add him to their squad until January due to their pending transfer ban. In a move that would benefit all parties involved, Atlético would loan Costa to another Spanish team until the winter transfer window opens, with Deportivo La Coruña already bidding to have him around for six months.

This wouldn't be the first transfer of the sort for Atlético during this window, as former Sevilla footballer Vitolo signed to join Atlético until January, but will play the second semester of 2017 on loan with Las Palmas.

Costa has been reluctant to go back to Chelsea's discipline after being deemed surplus to the team's requirements by coach Antonio Conte. The feud between these men goes back to January, but a text message sent by Conte to Costa following the end of the season saw things escalating. The striker is currently in Brazil, following a special workout program to keep himself fit until his agents and the club decide what's next.
